A series of polymer nanocomposites were prepared by applying the method of in situ melt polycondensation. Nanofillers were added to the diol and dimethyl ester reaction mixture and were present during the polyester composition. Then, after the multi-condensation stage, solid state polycondensation took place. Nanocomposites were characterized by dilute iodide solution for intrinsic viscosity-IV and X-ray diffraction (WAXD) to identify the crystalline structure. It was found that the addition of nanofillers did not change the type of crystals produced. A study of the thermal properties of the samples was performed, with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to determine the transition temperatures and a study of crystallization and melting was conducted. When the samples with nanofillers were examined, the crystallization rates were shown to be significant and the degree of crystallinity achieved large. Finally, a study of the crystalline phase and the superstructures (pellets) was performed with polarized optical microscopy (PLM). Nanofillers proved to act as crystallization nuclei
