The purpose of this paper is to highlight a very important and topical issue of crisis management. First, the concept of crisis, the types of crises and the life cycle of the crisis are analyzed, that there are applicable regardless of the spread of the crisis sector. Regarding crisis management, analyzed the general model of crisis management as well as the ten steps for communication crisis. Then, the concept of risk analyzed, as an important part of the crisis and the risk management strategies. Moreover, the emphasis is in the media, particularly the Internet and social media, as catalytic agents in crisis management. Finally, after analyzing the issues of tourism to economic development, the impact of tourism development and tourism in Greece, analyzed the issue of crisis management in tourism. Essentially, therefore, the issue of crisis management in tourism is no different to other sectors, but the specificity of the vulnerability of the tourism product and the image.
