The impact of the economic crisis in Greek tourism

Abstract: Aim of present work is to record all the essential information that concerns the situation of Greek tourism, before and afterwards the appearance of economic crisis worldwide. Initially, becomes a conceptual approach of term tourism, is recorded elements, and is analyzed the tourist policy and the circle of life of tourist product in Greece. Afterwards, are presented elements of income from the world tourism, investments, indirect profits and the total repercussion of tourism in the AEP of country. Finally, are examined the repercussions of economic crisis in the tourism and in the domestic branch of economic activity.
Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να καταγράψει όλες τις απαραίτητες πληροφορίες που αφορούν την κατάσταση του ελληνικού τουρισμού, πριν και μετά την εμφάνιση της οικονομικής κρίσης παγκοσμίως. Αρχικά, γίνεται μια εννοιολογική προσέγγιση του όρου τουρισμός, καταγράφονται στοιχεία, και αναλύεται η τουριστική πολιτική και ο κύκλος ζωής του τουριστικού προϊόντος στην Ελλάδα. Στη συνέχεια, παρουσιάζονται στοιχεία εσόδων από τον παγκόσμιο τουρισμό, επενδύσεις, έμμεσα οφέλη και η συνολική επίπτωση του τουρισμού στο ΑΕΠ της χώρας. Τέλος, εξετάζονται οι επιπτώσεις της οικονομικής κρίσης στον τουρισμό και στους εγχώριους κλάδους της οικονομικής δραστηριότητας.
