The food label is a way for the producer to communicate with the consumer and, above all, a legal framework that protects the consumer in his purchases. According to the European Food Information Council (EUFIC), producers are required by law to provide specific information to consumers, whether they are printed on the packaging or listed on food labels. (Δουκοπούλου, 2014) The purpose of this study is to investigate how much consumers, and in particular citizens of the wider region, are interested of Kilkis and Imathia Country on nutrition labels and whether they read correctly and do not misinterpret them. This research focuses on women and men aged 18 and over. The study involved 800 individuals, women and men, aged 18 and over. These people received dietary questionnaires during the year of 2019-2020. The level of statistics significance was set at p = 0.05. Analyzes were performed using of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (IBM SPSS STATISTICS V.20) and Microsoft Excel.
