Η επίδραση της χρήσης των νέων τεχνολογιών στην αποτελεσματικότητα των εκπαιδευτικών πρωτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης κατά την περίοδο της πανδημίας covid-19 (Master thesis)

The pandemic caused by COVID-19 in late 2019 resulted in March 2020 adopting alternatives to traditional learning methods in emergency situations. Education was introduced to a digital transformation and the ban on live teaching. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the use of new technologies affected the effectiveness of primary education teachers in Preveza Prefecture during the SARS COVID-19 pandemic. The survey was carried out between April 15 - May 31, 2023 with the participation of 84 Primary Education teachers. The results of the research showed that teachers used a lot during asynchronous and modern distance education, the e-class Platform, e-mail, e-books, youtube educational videos and the online service Google Classroom, which they consider more effective than other tools. Also, they consider that the use of distance teaching to a moderate degree is effective for teaching, motivating students, creating positive attitude towards learning and gives them an ease in explaining the concept of the course. However, they do not consider that the use of distance teaching offers them any benefits and is not as important as face-to-face teaching. The problems they faced were connection problems, operation of modern and asynchronous distance education media, lack of logistical equipment, inability to exploit all the possibilities of the technological tools offered, failure to create a positive school climate, lack of interest and motivation from students and exclusion of socioeconomically vulnerable students . Finally, it was found that the teachers did not consider that they were able to deal with the given technical problem, had insufficient knowledge from training seminars and were not familiar with the specific platform.
