Η κριτική αποτίμηση της αποτελεσματικότητας του θεσμού του Μέντορα από φοιτητές και εκπαιδευτικούς στο πλαίσιο εκπόνησης πτυχιακών και μεταπτυχιακών εργασιών. (Master thesis)

This research on Mentorism dealt with the investigation of the views of students and teachers who have carried out dissertation or thesis. The quantitative approach and questionnaire were selected as a means of collecting data. In more detail, the researche focuses on opinions, experiences and expectations in order to add facts and data to the existing researche topic in the perspective of the mentees, in order to contribute to the improvement of the institution. Giving voice to their concerns and needs can help to improve the instititutional framework where possible, in order to normalize relations, clarify ambiguities and bridge any distances between the parties involved. The perspective of the mentees is acceptable when it is based on sincere and democratic views, on the basis of self-criticism and self-awareness, so as to upgrade the institution of the Mentor in a qualitative direction. The conclusions confired previous research in significant percentage, which raises strong concerns about the clarity of the institution’s operating framework in Higher Education and adult education in general as well. Thus, a mentor’s multidimensional role stumbles upon its practical implementation with the majority of the mentors expecting more systematic guidance and more organized support.
