The thesis deals with the digitization and the archival description of the individual files of dock workers who worked in the Free Zone of Thessaloniki, formerly the Thessaloniki Port Authority during the period 1950-1980. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the process of digitization and archival description of files. In this thesis is presented in detail and methodically, the process of archival description of the material according to ISAD field by field, as well as the analysis of the archival works of the Historical Archive OLTH. In particular, 327 ISAD slips are imported, which are divided into folders according to the initial letter of the last name of each dock worker and are estimated at approximately 30,000 digitized pages.
