The subject of this work is the organic pomegranate cultivation, which has been studied with the method of literature review. Organic farming and its definition, its principles, advantages and disadvantages and statistics on its current status in the EU are presented first, followed by pomegranate and, in particular, plant morphology, its pharmaceutical use and its current state of production and consumption. The work concludes with reference to organic pomegranate cultivation, the conditions appropriate to it, the dangers that threaten it, and the ways in which they can be dealt with.
