The subject of this work is the organic pomegranate cultivation, which has been studied with the method of literature review. Organic farming and its definition, its principles, advantages and disadvantages and statistics on its current status in the EU are presented first, followed by pomegranate and, in particular, plant morphology, its pharmaceutical use and its current state of production and consumption. The work concludes with reference to organic pomegranate cultivation, the conditions appropriate to it, the dangers that threaten it, and the ways in which they can be dealt with.

| Abstract: | Αντικείμενο της παρούσας εργασίας αποτελεί η βιολογική καλλιέργεια ροδιάς, η οποία μελετήθηκε με τη μέθοδο της βιβλιογραφικής ανασκόπησης. Αρχικά, παρουσιάζεται η βιολογική γεωργία και ο ορισμός αυτής, οι αρχές, τα πλεονεκτήματα και μειονεκτήματα της και στατιστικά στοιχεία σχετικά με την υφιστάμενη κατάσταση της στην ΕΕ. Ακόμα, παρουσιάζεται η ροδιά και ειδικότερα, η μορφολογία του φυτού, η φαρμακευτική της χρήση και η υφιστάμενη κατάσταση παραγωγής και κατανάλωσης της. Η εργασία καταλήγει με αναφορά στη βιολογική καλλιέργεια ροδιάς, τις κατάλληλες συνθήκες για αυτή, τους κινδύνους που την απειλούν και τους τρόπους με τους οποίους μπορούν να αντιμετωπιστούν.
