Sport tourism is a part of tourism that is placed and refers to people traveling to a destination in order to attend a sporting event. Sports tourism is an integral part of global tourism with particular importance for the country of the sporting events. Events such as the Olympics, the F1 Grand Prix, the FIFA World Cup, the Grand Tennis and more are the images to promote the destination. People belonging to all age groups are interested in sports tourism.
Over the years, there has been a significant increase in the number of tourists traveling to attend international sporting events. Sport tourism is divided into two forms. The former is like spectators and the second is where people visit the country to take part in sports activities.
Sport tourism is considered tourism, which is planned by individuals in order to attend or participate in various sporting events. It is a tourism focused on sport. In most cases, they are interested in sport from the initial phase, from the point where the venue is announced.
Sport tourism has great economic benefits for the host country of the sporting event. However, there may also be some risks, such as terrorist attacks.

| Abstract: | Ο αθλητικός τουρισμός αποτελεί ένα τμήμα του τουρισμού, που τοποθετείται και αναφέρεται σε άτομα που ταξιδεύουν σε έναν προορισμό, προκειμένου να συμμετέχει ή να παρακολουθεί ένα αθλητικό γεγονός. Ο αθλητικός τουρισμός αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο μέρος του παγκόσμιου τουρισμού με ιδιαίτερη σημασία για τη χώρα διεξαγωγής των αθλητικών διοργανώσεων. Εκδηλώσεις όπως οι Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες, το Grand Prix της F1, το Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο της FIFA, το Grand Tennis και άλλα, είναι οι εικόνες για την προβολή του προορισμού. Τα άτομα που ανήκουν σε όλες τις ηλικιακές ομάδες ενδιαφέρονται για τον αθλητικό τουρισμό.
Με τα χρόνια, σημειώθηκε σημαντική αύξηση του αριθμού των τουριστών που ταξιδεύουν για να παρακολουθήσουν διεθνείς αθλητικές εκδηλώσεις. Ο αθλητικός τουρισμός χωρίζεται σε δύο μορφές. Η πρώτη μορφή είναι σαν θεατές και η δεύτερη όπου τα άτομα επισκέπτονται τη χώρα διεξαγωγής των αγώνων για να συμμετέχουν στις αθλητικές δραστηριότητες.
Ο αθλητικός τουρισμός θεωρείται ο τουρισμός, ο οποίος προγραμματίζεται από τα άτομα με σκοπό να παρακολουθούν ή να συμμετέχουν σε διάφορα αθλητικά γεγονότα. Είναι ένας τουρισμός που επικεντρώνεται κατά τη διάρκεια του αθλητισμού. Στις περισσότερες περιπτώσεις, αναπτύσσουν ενδιαφέρον για τον αθλητισμό από την αρχική φάση, από το σημείο που ανακοινώνεται η χώρα διεξαγωγής των εκδηλώσεων.
Ο αθλητικός τουρισμός έχει μεγάλα οικονομικά οφέλη για τη χώρα υποδοχής του αθλητικού γεγονότος. Ωστόσο, μπορεί να υπάρχουν και ορισμένοι κίνδυνοι, όπως τρομοκρατικά χτυπήματα.
