This paper deals with the antiaging of the body. Before the confrontation of the aging of the human body, we have, at first, analyze and understand completely the mechanism of aging, the factors which accelerate its development and the impacts at our body and health. We will place emphasis on the skin, as it surrounds the whole body and reflects our state of health. It’s the organ that displays first the signs of aging. The skin’s youthfulness is due to its collagen, strength, and firmness, to elastin its elasticity, while its increased content of hyaluronic acid leads to an increase in its ability to retain water. These depends on the skin’s youth, so when it reduces its production to these substances, it displays the most characteristic sign of aging, the wrinkles. The process of aging is a normal and genetically programmed function determined by endogenous factors, but its appearance is directly affected by exogenous factors. The endogenous process is due to the pass of time because of heredity, cell metabolism and hormonal changes observed in the body. External factors concern the environment in which we live and our way of life. Air pollution, drought, unprotected sun exposure, smoking, alcohol, poor nutrition, medication, etc. are exogenous causes that aggravate biological aging and are implicated in premature aging. The effects of aging appear first on the skin and include thinning of the epidermis, reduction of the chorionic cell population while decreasing the number of vessels, collagen and elastin, and age-related dermatoses are often observed. The methodology of this thesis is based on the understanding of the mechanism of aging, the causes, (to understand what we must avoid) the consequences it has on the body, and to address it. The first chapter deals with the skin, analyzing its anatomy, histology, physiology, skin types and their characteristics. In the second chapter we analyze the mechanism of aging, the endogenous and exogenous factors that cause it, as well as the results it seems to have in our body. Finally, in the third chapter is referred to the treatment of the signs of aging, allied to modern cosmetology and cosmetic plastic surgery.
