The specific postgraduate thesis explored whether the implementation of the basic principles of transformational leadership can be used as a vehicle for more effectively introducing differentiated teaching as an important innovation today in Greek primary education. For this purpose, a thorough research was carried out both on a theoretical basis, through a bibliographic review, as well as on research basis with the participation of 50 primary education teachers in the Magnesia Prefecture. The main conclusions that emerged from this thesis are that differentiated teaching and learning constitute an educational innovation since it focuses on all three aspects of education (teaching methods, teaching approaches, changing perceptions and principles). It is a process which is constantly evaluated and develops a collaborative culture with a shared vision and set goals. Concerning the connection of transformational leadership with differentiated teaching, the main conclusion drawn from the present study was that, the implementation of the basic principles of transformational leadership, by the headmaster creates a positive climate in school environment. This evidence, combined with the involvement of teachers in decisionmaking, has as a consequence the easiest implementation of differentiated teaching in the school today and creates a common vision for it. In essence, the main conclusion of the present work is that differentiated teaching is an important innovation today in the school environment, the implementation of which will provide students with emotional security, thereby making learning more likely to be achieved, which is also a the main pursuit of today's modern school.
