This work focuses on investigating the contribution of the institution of submanagement to the effective operation of the secondary school unit. School subprincipal, despite its importance, he remains unclear to Greek school today because the state does not care to provide specific, clear and decisive abilities, especially in cases of head of school replacement. The main problem that has defined the purpose of this work is the fact that the effectiveness of the operation of a school depends mainly on factors related to organizational issues, such as the proper distribution and delivery of school programs, clarity of responsibilities, decentralization of powers and adequate school leadership. The findings suggest that executive officers consider the institution as the main factors of inefficiency, the unclear definition of responsibilities, particularly as regards their relations with the Director and the burden of administrative and teaching duties. For this reason, they want clear and specific skills and upgrading their administrative role in school by reducing teaching hours and material and moral incentives. They also underline the need to change the existing way of selecting them with meritocratic and measurable criteria, as well as the need for the candidate's skills and knowledge similar to his / her management position. Also, as noted by the survey, the majority of assistant principals do not have the necessary administrative knowledge and skills to take on managerial responsibilities, hence considers it imperative to establish a State training organization for the continuous and comprehensive training in the administration of education, with the aim of more effective school sub-administration
