Επικοινωνία και σχέσεις μεταξύ διευθυντή σχολικών μονάδων Πρωτοβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης και γονέων : Συγκριτική μελέτη-ανάλυση σε αστικά και μη αστικά σχολεία του Ν. Θεσσαλονίκης (Master thesis)

Communication between school and students’ parents, is an essential part of their
overall relationship and cooperation. The school also plays a special role to children’s
socialization so, communication between family and teachers or the School Principal, can
help problem solving. There are a few communication models and the one that will be
used depends on the form the two sides want to transform to, their relation. School
Principal’s role is also of a crucial matter for the parental involvement or the overall
cooperation with the student’s families. School Principals’ efforts to tighten their contact
with students’ families, take place in the context of the implementation of communication
tactics, in order to improve the above relationship. Of course, the communication skills of
each School Principal as well as his ability to transmit the meaning of a more frequent
contact, to the rest of the teaching staff, plays a great role, since this is the only way to
transform the impersonal relationships with parents to more friendly.
In the research for answers concerning the levels of communication and
relationships between parents and school, a comparative study between urban and non urban schools in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki, took place. For the data collection, a
questionnaire was used, while for the data analysis a Chi-Square test was conducted in a
population of 50 Primary Education School Principals (25 from urban schools and 25
from non-urban), concluding to very interesting results.
There were identified differences among the views of School Principals of the
above 2 categories, about issues discussed between School Principals and parents, which
proves that students’ parents in urban and non-urban schools in Prefecture of
Thessaloniki, are concerned by different subjects.Additionally, differences were also
identified in issues related to the problems discussion between Parents’ Association and
school or School Principal, the communication frequency, the way of communication as
well as the benefits of communication with parents. Therefore, the study drew useful
conclusions about different views of School Principals and could be the basis of future
researchers.

| Abstract: | Η επικοινωνία του σχολείου με τους γονείς, αποτελεί απαραίτητο συστατικό της
συνεργασίας τους. Το σχολείο εξάλλου παίζει έναν ιδιαίτερο ρόλο στην
κοινωνικοποίηση του παιδιού, επομένως η επικοινωνία της οικογένειας με τους
εκπαιδευτικούς ή το Διευθυντή, μπορεί να βοηθήσει στην αντιμετώπιση προβλημάτων.
Μοντέλα επικοινωνίας υπάρχουν αρκετά και εξαρτώνται από τη μορφή που θέλουν να
δώσουν οι δύο πλευρές στη σχέση τους. Ο ρόλος του Διευθυντή επίσης έχει αποδειχθεί
καίριας σημασίας στα επίπεδα γονεϊκής εμπλοκής και στη συνολική συνεργασία που θα
συνάψει με τους γονείς των μαθητών.Οι προσπάθειες Διευθυντών, να έρχονται σε
στενότερη επαφή με γονείς μαθητών, πραγματοποιούνται στα πλαίσια εφαρμογής
επικοινωνιακών τακτικών για βελτίωση της σχέσης τους. Παίζει φυσικά μεγάλο ρόλο η
επικοινωνιακή δεξιότητα κάθε Διευθυντή και η ικανότητά του να μεταδίδει το μήνυμα
της συχνής επικοινωνίας και στο υπόλοιπο προσωπικό, αφού μόνο έτσι οι απρόσωπες
πολλές φορές σχέσεις με τους γονείς, μπορούν να μετατραπούν σε φιλικότερες.
Στην αναζήτηση απαντήσεων για τα επίπεδα επικοινωνίας και σχέσεων ανάμεσα
σε γονείς και σχολείο, διερευνήθηκε στην παρούσα εργασία μια συγκριτική μελέτη
ανάμεσα σε αστικά και μη-αστικά σχολεία του Ν. Θεσσαλονίκης. Για τη συγκέντρωση
των δεδομένων χρησιμοποιήθηκε ερωτηματολόγιο και διενεργήθηκε έλεγχος Χ2
, σε έναν
πληθυσμό 50 (25 αστικών σχολείων και 25 μη-αστικών) Διευθυντών Πρωτοβάθμιας
εκπαίδευσης, με αποτελέσματα πολύ ενδιαφέροντα.
Εντοπίστηκαν έτσι ορισμένες διαφορές στις απόψεις Διευθυντών αστικών και μη αστικών σχολείων, σχετικά με ζητήματα συζητήσεων. αποδεικνύει ότι τους γονείς των
μαθητών που βρίσκονται σε αστικά και μη-αστικά σχολεία Πρωτοβάθμιας του Ν.
Θεσσαλονίκης, απασχολούν διαφορετικά θέματα.Επιπλέον, διαπιστώθηκαν διαφορές και
σε ορισμένα θέματα που αφορούν τη σχέση του Συλλόγου Γονέων με το σχολείο ή το
Διευθυντή και τη συζήτηση προβλημάτων, διαφορές στη συχνότητα επικοινωνίας
Διευθυντών ή σχολείου, με τους γονείς, στον τρόπο επικοινωνίας με τους γονείς των
μαθητών αλλά και διαφορές για τα οφέλη από την επικοινωνία με τους γονείς. Η μελέτη
λοιπόν εξήγαγε χρήσιμα συμπεράσματα για τις διαφορετικές απόψεις Διευθυντών και
