Objectives: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the opinion of the consumers mainly in Thessaloniki Pella and cities of Cyprus, regarding the nutritional labels on products. Method: This case study, was based on a 1200 people statistical sample of consumers, incurred through random sampling. The sample consists of 761 women and 469 men, 18 years old or older. The questionnaires type research methodology was conducted during the first semester of 2018. The above 1200 individuals were asked 33 questions. The sample was processed and the findings were presented with descriptive techniques, as well as comparative analyzes of the variables through the X2 independence test. The level of significance was set at p=0,1. Analysis was performed using the statistical package Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS for Windows, release 25). Results: The most important findings are summarized by the fact that the impact of information on food labels is greater for female consumers than for men and that younger people are more demanding in terms of labeling and labeling of different foods. Conclusions: Behavior in the food market differs according to the gender of the consumer as men buy food products more mechanically where as women have a more intense sense of satisfaction when buying products. Also, the younger generations are more sensitive since they are frequently updated through technology and perhaps for this reason they are more interested in nutritional information.
