This thesis discusses the characteristics of the organic products along with the attitude of Greek consumers towards them. The first chapter focuses on the definition of organic farming. It’s utilization in international and national level and the historic development of this field over the years. Moreover the cost and the specifications of a product were examined in order to be considered as organic. Following these, the second chapter deals with the marketing of agricultural products and the ways it affects the trade, the distribution and the increase of consumption of organic products. Furthermore alternative promotion-sale strategies of the specific products are recommended. In the third chapter, the profile of consumers is introduced, both in Greek and international environment, along with their characteristics, while the factors that affect the market of the organic products are also listed. Finally, in the fourth chapter, a research among 100 people was conducted in the form of a questionnaire in order to investigate the relation of the consumers with the organic products.
