Σκοπός του βιβλίου είναι η παρουσίαση της βιομετρίας της επιστήμης που εφαρμόζει στατιστικές μεθόδους για τη λύση βιολογικών προβλημάτων που σχετίζονται γενικά με τη γεωπονία και ειδικότερα το γεωργικό πειραματισμό, όπως με τη γενετική βελτίωση των φυτών και των ζωών, τη θρέψη των φυτών, τις καλλιεργητικές φροντίδες, καθώς επίσης με την έρευνα στην ιατρική, την τεχνολογία περιβάλλοντος ακόμη και με την έρευνα αγοράς.
