Η συμβολή των ελληνικών ακαδημαϊκών βιβλιοθηκών στη μελέτη της Ελληνικής Επανάστασης (Bachelor thesis)

Παπαδογιαννάκη, Ευαγγελία

The main mission of academic libraries is to support the teaching and research process, providing it with pre-evaluated resources. Occasioned by the 200-year Anniversary of the Greek Revolution, we attempt to track and locate sources, printed and electronic material, available by Greek academic libraries. The material focused on is relevant to the Greek Revolution, Lord Byron, and P. B. Shelley, the instigators of Philhellenism in Europe. More specifically, the research took place in the online catalogues of Greek academic libraries and academic repositories using keywords and topic headings. As expected, an indicative example would be the fact that the records in the “Byron” topic are a lot more than those for “Shelley.” Besides the material available, research was conducted also on the events held by Greek academic libraries for the 200-year anniversary of the Greek Revolution.
