The above phrase, which was formulated by Arthur Conan Doyle through his fictional character Sherlock Holmes, can aptly sum up the purpose of Laboratory Forensics as well as the importance of his existence. The science of Laboratory Forensics concerns every analyzes of chemical, biological and medical content, which can be useful in clarifying a case of legal content, as its results can be used as evidence in court, they can reject and/or confirm the association of a suspect in a specific case and, also, they can offer important information about the conduct of the events. It has a variety of modern methods and knowledge in its possession, while each employee must be specialized and have the ability to manage the above, which are the result of many years of research and constant development. In this paper we will present the correct ways of collection and processing the samples, the methods that are widely used and the importance of all of them, as well as of avoiding mistakes during handiwork.
