Η Δημοτική Βιβλιοθήκη Xαλάστρας “Δημήτριος Κυριάκου Χαντές”: οργάνωση (καταλογογράφηση, ταξινόμηση και θεματική ευρετηρίαση) του υλικού της στο αυτοματοποιημένο σύστημα διαχείρισης βιβλιοθηκών Koha (Bachelor thesis)

This thesis was carried out as part of the completion of the cycle of studies of the
Department of Library Science, Archival and Information Studies of the International
Hellenic University (IHU). Its purpose is to organize and process the material of the
Municipal Library of Chalastra “Dimitrios Kyriakou Chantes”. The material that had
processed is part of the main collection of the library. More specifically, it was held
classification, thematic indexing and then descriptive cataloging of the documents in
Koha automated library management system with references to the characteristics
of the same system. They are presented and explained detailing through examples
the fields of the system that were used to add information of the books to the
respective fields. The aim of the project is for the users of the library to be able to
locate the material that interests them, easily and quickly through the catalog.
Finally, the conclusions and suggestions for improving the operation of the library
are presented.

| Abstract: | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία πραγματοποιήθηκε στα πλαίσια ολοκλήρωσης του
κύκλου σπουδών του Τμήματος Βιβλιοθηκονομίας Αρχειονομίας και Συστημάτων
Πληροφόρησης του Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου Ελλάδος (ΔΙΠΑΕ). Σκοπό έχει την
οργάνωση και επεξεργασία του υλικού της Δημοτικής Βιβλιοθήκης της
Χαλάστρας “Δημήτριος Κυριάκου Χαντές”. Το υλικό που επεξεργάστηκε αποτελεί
μέρος της κύριας συλλογής της Βιβλιοθήκης. Πιο συγκεκριμένα πραγματοποιήθηκε
ταξινόμηση, θεματική ευρετηρίαση και στη συνέχεια περιγραφική
καταλογογράφηση των τεκμηρίων στο αυτοματοποιημένο σύστημα διαχείρισης
βιβλιοθηκών Koha με αναφορές στα χαρακτηριστικά του ίδιου συστήματος.
Παρουσιάζονται και επεξηγούνται αναλυτικά μέσω παραδειγμάτων τα πεδία του
συστήματος που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν για την προσθήκη πληροφοριών των τεκμηρίων
στα εκάστοτε πεδία. Στόχος της εργασίας είναι οι χρήστες της βιβλιοθήκης να
μπορούν να εντοπίζουν εύκολα και γρήγορα μέσω του καταλόγου το υλικό που τους
ενδιαφέρει. Τέλος παρατίθενται τα συμπεράσματα και οι προτάσεις για τη
βελτίωση της λειτουργίας της βιβλιοθήκης.
