The subject of this thesis is the preparation of an environmental impact study in the context of environmental licensing of a 40MW Photovoltaic Power Station in the area of "Monopati", in the Municipality of Eordaias, Kozani Regional Unit and the accompanying infrastructure works required. This thesis was prepared in accordance with the contents defined by the current legislation. The study of the above project identifies the exact geographic location of the land where the station will be installed, examines the compatibility of the project with established spatial and urban planning constraints of the area and provides a detailed description of the project and its technical characteristics. Based on the above data, the environmental impacts resulting from the implementation of the project are assessed and the final conclusion is drawn, taking into account the existing legislation for the improvement of the environmental footprint of the photovoltaic plant. The conclusion of the thesis includes the main criteria for the selection of the photovoltaic system as well as clear instructions and measures to be taken.
