Αξιοποίηση της θαλάσσιας κυματικής ενέργειας : εφαρμογή σε επιλεγμένες παράκτιες περιοχές της Ελλάδας (Master thesis)

The present study, titled "Exploitation of marine wave energy - Application in selected Greek coastal areas," was conducted as part of the postgraduate program in "Design and Construction of Civil Engineering Structures" at the International University of Greece. This study provides a detailed analysis of all possible methods and devices for harnessing wave energy. Additionally, it examines three different areas in the coastal region of Greece, assessing their suitability for the installation of an energy barrier to exploit wave energy and generate electricity.
Chapter 1, "Introduction," presents theoretical information on wave energy utilization, provides historical background, and analyzes the various ways in which wave energy can be harnessed.
Chapter 2, "Methods and Materials," identifies all data sources and describes the data processing methods employed in the study.
Chapter 3, "Results and Discussion," presents the detailed findings of the research. This chapter includes tables and figures specific to each examined area.
Chapter 4, "Bibliography," lists all the bibliographic sources used as references for this study. Separate sections are dedicated to foreign-language sources, Greek sources, and online sources.

| Abstract: | Η παρούσα εργασία εκπονήθηκε στα πλαίσια του μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος σπουδών «Σχεδιασμός και Κατασκευή Τεχνικών Έργων» του Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου της Ελλάδος. Στη συγκεκριμένη εργασία παρουσιάζονται αναλυτικά οι μέχρι σήμερα διαδεδομένοι πιθανοί τρόποι και κατασκευαστικές εκμετάλλευσης της κυματικής ενέργειας. Παράλληλα, εξετάζονται τρεις διαφορετικές περιοχές στον Ελλαδικό παράκτιο χώρο, ως προς την καταλληλότητά τους για εγκατάσταση σε αυτές ενός ενεργειακού τοίχου, για αξιοποίηση της κυματικής ενέργειας και παραγωγή ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας.
Στο 1ο Κεφάλαιο «Εισαγωγή» παρουσιάζονται θεωρητικές πληροφορίες για την αξιοποίηση της ενέργειας των κυμάτων, ιστορικά στοιχεία σχετικά με αυτή και αναλύονται οι πιθανοί τρόποι με τους οποίους δύναται να αξιοποιηθεί η κυματική ενέργεια.
Στο 2ο Κεφάλαιο «Μέθοδοι και Υλικά» αναφέρονται όλες τις πηγές των δεδομένων και αναλύεται ο τρόπος επεξεργασίας τους.
Στο 3ο Κεφάλαιο «Αποτελέσματα και Συζήτηση» παρουσιάζονται τα αναλυτικά αποτελέσματα της έρευνας. Περιλαμβάνονται πίνακες και εικόνες για την κάθε μία υπό εξέταση περιοχή μελέτης ξεχωριστά.
Στο 4ο Κεφάλαιο «Βιβλιογραφία» αναφέρονται όλες οι βιβλιογραφικές πηγές από τις οποίες αντλήθηκαν οι πληροφορίες για αυτήν την εργασία. Αναφέρονται ξεχωριστά οι ξενόγλωσσες πηγές, οι ελληνικές πηγές, καθώς και οι διαδικτυακές πηγές.
