Construction poses a major factor in the economies of all countries, including Greece. Road construction, which we studied in this thesis, is of great financial importance in Greece. Therefore, the accurate estimation of the cost of any project is significant and requires great
attention in order to prevent deviations.
As differentiation of the estimated highway construction costs seems to appear frequently during construction it is considered useful to create a cost estimation model for road construction based on data of completed projects and mathematical methods which help with
the statistical analysis. This thesis is the attempt to create such a model after the collection and analysis of technical and cost data from the contractual documents of fourteen (14) completed sections of Egnatia Motorway

| Abstract: | Οι κατασκευές αποτελούν σημαντικό παράγοντα στην οικονομία όλων των χωρών, συμπεριλαμβανομένης και της ελληνικής. Τα έργα οδοποιίας κυρίως από τον ευρύτερο κλάδο των κατασκευών ,με τα οποία και θα ασχοληθούμε στην παρούσα εργασία, κατέχουν υψηλή
θέση στην ελληνική οικονομία. Κατά συνέπεια η σωστή και έγκυρη πρόβλεψη του κόστους, είναι ιδιαίτερης σημασίας και χρήζει μεγάλης προσοχής ώστε να αποφευχθούν κατά το μέγιστο
οι αποκλίσεις. Επειδή παρατηρούνται συχνά κατά την φάση της κατασκευής ενός έργου οδοποιίας, σημαντικές διαφοροποιήσεις σε σχέση με την αρχική πρόβλεψη του κόστους κατασκευής,
θεωρείται χρήσιμη η προσπάθεια δημιουργίας ενός μοντέλου εκτίμησης κόστους κατασκευής οδικού έργου, όπως παραδείγματος χάρη αυτοκινητόδρομου, βασισμένο σε στοιχεία που αντλούνται από τους προϋπολογισμούς δημοπράτησης ανάλογων έργων και μαθηματικών μεθόδων που βοηθούν στη στατιστική ανάλυση αυτών. Στην παρούσα εργασία έγινε η προσπάθεια δημιουργίας ενός τέτοιου μοντέλου εκτίμησης κόστους μετά τη συλλογή και επεξεργασία τεχνικών δεδομένων και στοιχείων κόστους από τα συμβατικά τεύχη κατασκευής 14 τμημάτων του αυτοκινητοδρόμου της ΕΓΝΑΤΙΑΣ ΟΔΟΥ.
