Introduction : Effective organization and management of available human resources contributes to the success of clinical and nursing care. Leadership qualities are needed to increase nursing productivity and resolve both operational and conflict issues, which include a number of strategies that depend on needs and circumstances. Lack of leadership in health organizations is an obstacle in solving problems as well as in promoting their goals. Its existence plays a key role in the viability of the organization, as it can maximize the communication of staff in the health unit, personal commitment to the goals of the organization, develop teamwork and organizational climate and ultimately positively affect the outcome of patients. , because of all the above. Nursing is often defined as the type of work with long working hours and high work stress. Various factors such as low job control, high job demands and low employment support relationships are significantly associated with nurses' stress and high turnover. Purpose : The purpose of this review is to examine the perceptions of nursing staff about transformational leadership. Materials and methods : A literature search has been conducted not only in Greek and foreign printed bibliography of the last decade, but also in databases, such as Pub med, Google Scholar and Scopus. Results : There is a wealth of research that demonstrates that the transformational leadership model adopted by nursing executives in health organizations is statistically significantly positively correlated with job satisfaction of nursing staff and general health well-being. Although the mechanism between nursing transformational leadership style and quality of nursing professional life is not entirely clear, early studies show that transformational leadership influences the quality of their working 9 lives through various channels. Another factor that contributes to improving the quality of working life is job satisfaction. Statistically significant positive correlations were found with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The satisfaction of the nursing staff seems to increase the satisfaction of the patients. The perception of transformational leadership style depends on the work environment and nursing skills. Finally, transformational qualities can be enhanced through further training, achieving higher levels of power and through the existence of more participatory organizations
