The quality of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) is the main focus of reforms carried out by the European countries that are part of the Eurydice Network. For this reason, the European Commission has established a Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care which consists of five quality areas: access, governance-funding, staff, curriculum, evaluation -monitoring. The data of the Eurydice Network, and other reports, show that there is a great amount of variation and deviation between countries. The present study is an attempt to comparatively record the data of the quality statements of Early Childhood Education and Care of the 38 countries of the Eurydice Network. The aim is to provide an assessment of the quality of Early Childhood Education and Care in these countries through a bibliographic comparative study. This study attains to assess the quality of the Early Childhood Education and Care infrastructure in Greece and to present the evaluation that is currently taking place. It is a source of information for reflection, providing suggestions of monitoring and evaluation methods and guidance for the establishment of measures for the improvement of the quality.
