The present thesis aims to visualize the data of liquid fuel prices in Greece, using modern technologies and methods. The data used by the Ministry of Development and Investment, which is the source of the data used in the thesis, which records daily the prices of liquid fuels in the country and then publish them through a price overview bulletin on its website, http://www.fuelprices.gr/. The bulletin is available as a pdf file in various formats, which makes its further use and processing prohibitive.These data include the daily observations of liquid fuel prices per prefecture of Greece and per fuel type (5 fuel types). This thesis arose from the need for a deeper understanding of the factors that factors that shape the prices of liquid fuels. The aim of the thesis is twofold: With the use of scraping techniques, to create an open dataset with the data of liquid fuel prices and through the Grafana software the visualization of the data This data includes daily observations of liquid fuel prices by prefecture in Greece and by fuel type (5 fuel types). This thesis was born out of the need for a deeper understanding of the factors that liquid fuel prices. By using the analysis of data, it provides a more direct and more complete picture of the fuel prices. In the context of this work, the following examined are the tools and techniques required for the analysis and processing of the data. Specific technologies are presented such as the Python programming language and the associated libraries and the use of tools such as the relational database management system (RDBMS) Microsoft SQL Server for data management. The visualization of the data is the central point of this work. Using the Grafana platform and through graphs and diagrams, a well-structured and visualization of energy trends, capturing key patterns, both in terms of by county and by time period. Finally, the paper is summarized with conclusions that highlight the importance of data analysis for energy policy. At the same time, future directions are suggested, future extensions that can enhance the understanding of energy policy data and contribute to the development of sustainable energy policies and practices.
