Μελέτη των ποιοτικών χαρακτηριστικών διαφόρων ποικιλιών πιπεριάς (Capsicum annuum) (Bachelor thesis)

In the present dissertation the qualitative characteristics of different varieties of pepper (Capsicum annuum) Gemisti, Kerato and Florinis were described. Next, an introduction was made to the history of pepper, the morphological characteristics and the botanical classification of the plant. More specifically, the ecological requirements of the pepper, the cultivation techniques that are applied as well as the fertilization, the irrigation and the harvest are mentioned. In the process, various fungal diseases were treated from which the plant was infected as well as insect infestations. The experiment was carried out in the greenhouse of the farm of the International University of Greece in Sindos which started from 13/5/2020 to 8/7/2020. Reaching the final stage of the experiment in the school greenhouse, the height, weight, consistency of the flesh were measured, the color of the fruit, the acidity and the sugars were determined in the post-selection laboratory of the school.
