Μελέτη ποιοτικών χαρακτηριστικών διαφόρων ποικιλιών ντομάτας (Solanum Lycopercium) (Master thesis)

The present study was conducted in the greenhouse of the International University of Greece in Sindos in the framework of the dissertation on "Study of the quality characteristics of different varieties of tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum)". Theexperiment took place in the spring-summer period of 2020. The varieties used for the experiment are CHERRY F1, ZUCCHELLO F1, ALMA F1, OPTIMA F1. The study includes sections on the origin, distribution and botanical classification of tomatoes as well as botanical characteristics. The following are the ecological requirements, cultivation techniques as well as pruning, irrigation, fertilization and diseases from which the plant was infected. Finally, after the harvest, the quality characteristics of the tomato were evaluated, which are: the height of the plant, the weight of the fruit, the consistency of the flesh of the fruit, the determination of the color of the fruit, its acidity and the soluble solid sugars that contains.
