This project is about nutrition and psychotic diseases. The purpose of this analysis is to investigate the relationship between the nutritional status and eating habits of psychotic patients in relation to those of healthy people. The role of the Mediterranean diet in psychotic individuals and healthy people is also explored. This dissertation is divided into two parts. The first part, which is the general part of this project, mentions the definition of psychosis as well as the classification of psychotic disorders based on particular systems. The causes, the symptoms, the recession-relapse of psychosis as well as the medication of antipsychotic drugs are specifically analyzed . The second part presents the statistical study that was carried out, analyzing the results of the answers given by the mentally ill and healthy respectively who helped in the execution of the project. Finally, there is a general discussion on the results and conclusions of statistical analysis
