Τσαπανίδης, Ιορδάνης

Selective forms of tourism have become extremely important in the tourism market today. Cultural tourism is one of the oldest forms of travel and one of the most important and fastest growing components of modern tourism. According to UNESCO, cultural tourism is the region with the fastest international development of industrial tourism. Music is already a reason why people travel and explore new destinations. Music tourism includes any activity performed by a tourist where the main motivation for travel is related to music. It is often very difficult to differentiate or separate music tourists from other tourists. Music tourism is more than just observation or even participation, and the has acquired a new variety of possibilities. At the same time, event tourism has been considered one of the biggest sources of income in the 21st century. Its development took many phases and years to reach this status quo that exists today. The tourism sector, which was originally concerned with hospitality, transport, attractions and sports centers, has now changed course. The idea of organizing events to promote destinations and less visited sites has now become widely accepted. This has caused a change in the industry that has motivated and attracted people to travel more than ever. The River Party Festival is an event that challenges music tourists. The River Party in Nestorio of Kastoria in Western Greece is a large Greek music festival with a deep-rooted tradition that gathers more than 50,000 fans during its five-day events by the river Aliakmonas. What makes the festival unique is that visitors have the opportunity to camp by the river in a beautiful outdoor area around the tents.
