The following thesis examines the effect of kyphosis in the human body and the appropriate physical therapy treatment.
More particularly, in the first chapter, the anatomy of the vertebral column is being displayed so that the reader can get reacquainted with the basic anatomical knowledge that is necessary.
In the second chapter, kyphosis is being analysed as a pathology so that it can be as understood as possible. The third chapter presents the methodology of patient assessment by physical therapists, the
foundings and the targets that arise through this assessment for the better treatment of kyphosis. Also, an indicative exercise and mobilization program is provided. The last chapter is focused on the results that occur from multiple research regarding reliable
conservative treatment of the pathology, the effects it has on the body and the methodology that was followed for the selection of said research (search engines, reliability assessment, etc)

| Abstract: | Στην παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία εξετάζεται η επίδραση της κύφωσης στον ανθρώπινο οργανισμό και η φυσικοθεραπευτική αντιμετώπιση της. Ειδικότερα, στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γένεται αναφορά στην ανατομία της σπονδυλικής στήλης ώστε ο αναγνώστης να αποκομίσει βασικές ανατομικές γνώσεις. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο αναλύεται η κύφωση ως πάθηση ώστε να γίνει όσος το δυνατό πιο κατανοητή
Στο τρίτο κεφαλαίο παρουσιάζεται ο τρόπος με τον οποίο αξιολογούμε ως φυσικοθεραπευτές ένα ασθενή, τα ευρήματα και οι στόχοι που προκύπτουν μέσο αυτής για την αντιμετώπιση της κύφωσης. Συμπεριλαμβάνεται και ενδεικτικό πρόγραμμα άσκησης
και κινητοποίησης Στο τελευταίο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται τα αποτελέσματα των ερευνών σχετικά με την
αξιόπιστη συντηρητική αντιμετώπιση της πάθησης, της επίδρασης στον άνθρωπο, αλλά και η μεθοδολογία που ακολουθήθηκε για την επιλογή των ερευνών ( μηχανές αναζήτησης, αξιολόγηση αξιοπιστίας, κ.ά.)
