The purpose of this thesis, is the study of contemporary interventions, aesthetic, medical and dietary, that highlight among other things, remarkable anti-aging cosmetic and medical treatments, as well as ingredients and foods, with antioxidant properties and a protective role for the body. The aging process is a matter of concern for men and women, and science is looking for solutions to slow it down and reverse it. The cosmetic industry, through treatments and the use of topical cosmetic components , which aim at skin care and rejuvenation, and contribute to this effort, mainly in non-invasive ways. On the other hand, the field of medicine plays an important role in the treatment of skin aging, including revolutionary treatments, invasive and non-invasive, some of which have emerged in recent decades, and are capable of "erasing" the signs of time, with a satisfying duration of results. More and more people are asking their doctor’s and their cosmetologist’s advice on how to improve the look of their skin and "turn back time". However, in addition to treating the skin aging process externally, it is also important to consume the right foods with beneficial properties, which promote better human health, help improve the skin's appearance and contribute to treating the damage caused by free radicals.
