Reproduction is a process of vital importance for the longevity and profitability of every livestock enterprise, including sheep rearing. The breeding program applied to each farm plays a key role in both volume and the quality of reproductive efficiency. This study is based on the literature review of semen collection techniques from male sheep and goats involving the use of artificial vagina and electro-ejaculator. Also, the study approaches the issue of artificial insemination through the review of parameters related to the practical steps of the process, the advantages and disadvantages, the material and the equipment, etc.
