The sector of biotechnology has contributed significantly to the nutrition of the monogastric. The products of biotechnology constitute a reliable solution for nutrition and therefore to the survival of the animal, though simultaneously it has contributed a vital supply for the producers. Their use is limited to feed additives, with aim the improvement of animal products, and meeting the animals needs with more objective to their health improvement. Enzymes are included in the biotechnological products, which can upgrade the best quality of animal food and at the same time reduce the cost of nutrition. Also, the trace elements operate as contributors of the enzyme which are vital for the protection of the animal. Furthermore, the probiotics, the prebiotics and the symbiotics influence immensely to the well-being of the animal, mostly for the operation of the intestinal flora. Moreover, essential oils facilitate animals way of living (to the pace of the development of the body weight, gestation, breastfeeding) as well as contribute to their serenity. The aim of the thesis was a literature review as far as the use of biotechnological products is concerned in the nutrition of the animals, so as to reinforce the digestion and promote the animals health.
