Σχολική ηγεσία και οργανωσιακές συγκρούσεις: Η επίλυση των συγκρούσεων μέσα από τις απόψεις των εκπαιδευτικών (Master thesis)

Κοντογιάννη, Αθηνά

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between school leadership and management of organizational conflicts, according to the views of teachers serving in schools of different educational levels. The role of leadership in the management of organizational conflicts is considered crucial, as the research literature supports the existence of a systematic relationship between the leadership style and the strategies for resolving organizational conflicts. In this research we investigated the correlation between transformational leadership transactional, avoidance leadership and leadership efficiency with Thomas & Killmann's five Thomas & Killmann model compilation strategies on a sample of Greek teachers (N = 100). The analyzes generated interesting findings that highlighted the existebce of important negative correlations between leadership efficiency and avoidance as a conflict resolution strategy, as well as between transactional leadership and avoidance and compromise, as well as transformational leadership and avoidance.
