The present thesis reports on how to face the problems that are reflected in the body after heavy weight loss, within a beauty salon. Initially, a general review of obesity is made followed by reporting on the terms and the ways of massive weight loss; simply by being on diet, or for example by combining a diet with exercise. Besides the non-invasive modes of weight loss, invasive ones are mentioned, such as surgical treatment, lipectomy etc. Furthermore, it is of vital importance to refer to the problems that are evident in the body after weight loss. Such can be skin relaxation, muscle relaxation, streaks and cellulite, but as well problems related to a man’s soul upon getting to see his new appearance; those kinds of mental disorders can even lead to depression. In addition, another chapter will be included on the aesthetic treatment methods inside an institute; such as the use of magic pot, LPG, vacuu power technology, the use of radio frequencies, application of massage to the muscular system and the lymph. Moreover, there will also be a reference to the contribution of active and passive gymnastics. Finally, useful tips will be provided on how to maintain the correct body weight and present a healthy body image along with conclusions and suggestions.
