Αυχενικό σύνδρομο και η συμβολή της φυσικοθεραπείας (Bachelor thesis)

Γεωργιάδου, Καλλιόπη

The Cervical Syndrome it’s not a specific complaint but a group of symptoms, which apart from inflexibility and pain in the wider cervical and thoracic spine, from headache, dizziness, but also reported pain to numbness in the shoulder zone and the upper end. Wide range of statistics which published they show an increase in the amount of neck pain of the general population in 60 to 75 %. In addition, we must mention that many people complain for «grip» or «tightness» in the neck, something that did not lead them to doctor, to be recorded in some statistics. Needless to say that Cervical Syndrome is caused by unhealthy and detrimental lifestyle, anxious and sedentary life of east society. To treat cervical syndrome, physical activities(such as swimming) and physiotherapy can help largely to eliminate the pain, to improve mobility in these cumbersome bodily areas and generally to increase the quality of our life in high level. The complex of cervical structure, the multidimensional interactions it receives and my personal experiences from the close family environment, have been the stimulus of my concern with this issue, so I can understand it better and to cope, as effectively as possible, with cases with Cervical Syndrome.
