The global financial crisis the years 2008-2016 (Bachelor thesis)

Evderidou, Maria

By the term financial crisis, we mean the phenomenon where the economy is characterized by a continuous decline in its economic activity. More specifically, we refer to the macroeconomic figures of the economy, the employment, prices, investments. Τhe global financial crisis began, as we referred, from the United States and was centered on the inability to service mortgage loans. After spread to all sectors, then expanded to all the developed countries of the world and had a rapid impact on banking systems. This situation had a significant impact on Greece. In 2009 a crisis of confidence was created between the members of the European Union. The other countries, in order not to be completely affected by the bas conditions in the Greece decided to restrict it by imposing measures and sanctions. The crisis of the Greek economy is directly related to the crisis in the European Union. Subsequently, we will infiltrate at the problems-issues that the financial crisis had created in all countries from 2008 to 2016.
