This present study aims to investigate the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the context of the Self-Evaluation of Educational work, School Internal Evaluation, in Primary and Secondary Education, as established in our country in 2013, according to the Ministerial Decision and the Circulars. The Self-Evaluation of Educational work is an innovative project that integrates self-assessment processes into school units and their operation. The objectives of the work are to study in-depth the institutional context and analyze the key features of this specific project (goals - objectives, processes, criteria, participants, exploitation of results) and to seek the degree of compatibility of these elements with the principles of the TQM. Total Quality Management, that is a new type of leadership and management of organizations and businesses, is examined in detail, along with its representatives, because in recent years it has been dynamically integrated in the sector of education, which cannot of course, abstain from the developments of society. The research was conducted using the content analysis methodology applied in the institutional texts of the Self-Evaluation of Educational work project, in primary and secondary education, to collect and condense their data into coded categories and to draw conclusions about them. The categories of analysis have created from the objectives of the work and the research questions and showed us the key features of the Self-Evaluation of Educational work. With their use and their results conducted a study of comparison and compatibility between the Self-Evaluation of Educational work and TQM. The conclusions of our research ultimately indicate that there is a high degree of compatibility between the two, as all categories of analysis have important matching points and it is observed that the philosophy of Self-Evaluation of Educational work is based on the basic principles of the TQM.
