Ευρωπαϊκά δικαιώματα επιβατών στις αερομεταφορές- european passenger rights in air transport (Bachelor thesis)

Μαρνουτζίδης, Ευστάθιος

The development of air transport in recent years has simultaneously been evolved with the development of technology. Air transport in the European Union plays an important role in the transport and movement of passengers as they affect both the economy and the globalization process. There are many people who prefer to travel by air, due to the reduced travel time compared to other means of transportation. In addition, air transport has also contributed to low-cost trade, as low-cost airlines create increased competition in the market, resulting in ticket prices fluctuating. In addition, the liberalization of air transport has brought about significant changes in passenger air travel and prices. Air transport plays an important role in shaping the globalized environment as we know it today. Creating a global network brings people, countries and continents very far apart, without which physical communication would be extremely time consuming and impossible. The purpose of this paper is to examine the historical evolution and liberalization of air transport, while analyzing European passenger rights in air transport.
