Conflicts are a phenomenon that is caused in every social and professional field, affecting people's relationships. The aim of the present study was to investigate the sources of conflicts among primary education teachers and to record their confronting strategies, as well as the emotions that take place during and after the end of the conflict. The collection of data was carried out through a structured questionnaire, which was answered by 120 teachers from the prefecture of Thessaloniki. The results of the study revealed that the main cause of the organizational conflicts was the distribution of classes. The most frequent causes of personal conflicts were the character and the personality of the teachers, which are key factors in the communication among teachers. In addition, the majority of the teachers reported that negotiation and collaboration are the preferable ways of managing conflicts. It was noticed that the prevailing emotion experienced by teachers during the conflict was anger / irritation. The negative feelings dominate throughout the conflict and for a long time after the end, thus affecting their mood and daily school activities.
