Characteristics that determine the personality of an administrator of a school unit, play a very important role in maintaining and developing it. The administrator is the key person that will or will not bring unity among the members of the teachers and will lead them to collaborate by cultivating the spirit of the team's operation. It will motivate teachers to become more efficient and will be able to resolve or not solve various issues that arise. The increasing pace with which changes are taking place in the field of education as well as the political-socio-economic data of modern times, impose the revision of characteristics that a school administrator should require. The aim of this research is to highlight the contribution of music education in shaping the characteristics of school administrator. It examines whether the socialization and discipline that someone acquires during his musical studies, the time he dedicates and the sacrifices in order to complete these studies, the commitment to long-term study and the outcome of the interpretation of a musical piece and exposure to the general public, help develop his personality to such extent that will make him effective. Moreover, the research emphasizes the importance of the emotional intelligence that the school administrator has developed through music and the knowledge of culture according to his religion, tradition, educational level and political beliefs, so that he manages problems and relationships that have to do with human potentialities. The methodology followed is that of a qualitative survey, where a semi-structured questionnaire was used and was addressed to key informants of education in Northern Greece. Quality data management (content analysis) was also made with NVIVO 11 software.
