The subject of this research was the clarification of the size of pre-school education teachers’ anxiety who serve under the Prefecture of Pella’s Primary education. The purpose of this task was to examine the public education pre-school teachers subjective views, in the Prefecture of Pella, regarding the factors which cause them work stress and the level of work exhaustion and the consequences in their work and personal life. The research sought to bring in light information related to pre-school teachers’ stress and furthermore, aimed at the enrichment of the existing bibliography and the provision of new knowledge. The research was conducted among the permanent and the substitute teachers in the Prefecture of Pella public pre-schools during the school year of 2018-19. A sample of 84 pre-school teachers was used to conduct the research. The survey is separated in two parts: the theoretical in which bibliographical sources were used and regarding the concepts of anxiety, stress and work exhaustion in relation to the teacher’ s personality and other personal data were analyzed. In the second part, the research, an analysis of the task’s methodology and a presentation of results is done and the conclusions and suggestions of handling pre-school teachers’ work stress are given. The research is concluded with enlisting the used bibliography.
