The present essay attempts to examine the EU programs for education, especially those through which cross-national school partnerships have been established, in light of the wider educational policy of the. The essay monitors the progress of the European Union ,as well as the formulation and the objectives of the European educational policy starting from the first founding treaties of the EU until present, and examines the European programs for education, as means of implementation of the aforementioned educational policy and cultivation of a European Dimension in Education in the European nations. In the wider context discussed above, school partnerships e-Twinning ,Comenius and Erasmus, are being examined for their broader and special objectives and especially for their role in cultivation of a European Dimension in Education . Finally, the outcome of an empirical research that took place from February to April 2019, on a sample of 63 teachers on secondary education from Viotia county schools who have participated in these programs from 2001 to date, included in the present paper, shows that according to teachers’ opinion, the objectives of the European Union for the aforementioned programmes and especially the implementation of the European Dimension in Education, are being efficiently achieved in Greece.
