Η αίσθηση της καινοτομίας στην αυτοαντίληψη του επαγγελματικού ρόλου των εκπαιδευτικών πρωτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης (Master thesis)

Αναστασιάδης, Αναστάσιος

Innovations in the field of education are considered necessary to adapt the school organization to the constant developments of modern society. The New School focuses on the student, emphasizing innovation, the use of digital media, aesthetic cultivation, citizens' equality, acceptance of diversity, participation in society and human solidarity. The New Study Programs focus on the learning process, the design of teaching scenarios, differentiated teaching, changing teacher and student roles, collaboration and the use of new teaching methods and strategies. Teachers' attitudes towards change are an important factor for successful implementation (Hall et al., 1977, Fullan, 2001, Hall & Hord, 2001). At the same time, teachers' attitudes towards change are significantly influenced by their perception of the leadership style of the Director (Sarafidou, & Nikolaidis, 2009), their own professional and demographic characteristics, and the particular characteristics of the school in which they work Heck et al., 2001, Silins et al., 2002). The analysis of the data of this survey has shown that teachers seem to accept the innovation in their profession to a great extent, that the most important benefits of innovation to students seem to be the cultivation of critical thinking and the development of initiatives, the manager affects innovation with its support to the local community, by encouraging teachers to participate in challenges and to innovate in teaching and creating a climate of emulation, age, working relationship, family AKI status and years of work appear to significantly affect the acceptance of innovation and the fear of it. The purpose of this paper was to explore the views of teachers on the sense of innovation in self-reflection of their professional role. To record the perceptions of 124 teachers, a questionnaire was selected with Likert ranked questions. One of the main limitations of the research is that the results cannot be considered representative of all Greek primary school teachers due to the limited sampling used.
