The reconciliation of culture and education in the context of modern human-centered development models contributes not only to cultural upgrading and preservation of cultural heritage, but also to strengthening of employment and of the quality of human capital. The traditional professions that have spread throughout Greece over the centuries are an integral part of the country's intangible cultural heritage which, although today they have disappeared, could form the basis for cultural, tourist and economic development of the countryside through the organization of training programs in the context of lifelong learning and vocational training. The aim of the present study is to investigate the possibility and feasibility of creating and operating a cultural educational center of old professions in the traditional village of Kromni of the Municipality of Pella, by examining the views of the inhabitants of the wider region. In particular, this survey explores the views of residents and local government officials on the educational and cultural activities that such a center could develop, as well as on the potential benefits that can be gained in terms of local development and employment, taking into consideration the stakeholders involved. The survey was conducted using the semi-structured interview method, which was conducted individually with 12 people and contained 11 questions. According to the research results, it was found that a training center for old professions could make a significant contribution to tourism and economic development, while offering a professional outlet for young people in the region. It has also been found that in order to carry out such an initiative, the role of the local government, the local community and the local businesses is important.
