Target: In respect of this senior thesis, the views of consumers, mainly coming from the districts of Thessaloniki, Kozani, Arta, Trikala, were examined with regard to produce nutritional declaration and labels. Methodology: The overall research was based on an independent sample of 800 consumers, residents of the aforementioned counties that resulted from random sampling. The information presented have been gathered by questioning civilians of both genders ranking from the ages of 18 to 70 years old. The research method used was that of questionnaires, while the assembly of data took place from December, 2018, to January, 2019. Respondents were presented with 33 questions of both open and closed format. The statistical data processing was conducted through the use of appropriate software packages (MS Excel®, IBM SPSS 19) and the application of targeted statistical controls. Results: In contrast to those of older age, young people seem to be more interested in reading basic nutritional information provided by packaging labels. Moreover, women pay more attention to the printed information as opposed to men. Conclusions: All of the above stem from the information and input the Mass Media flood the younger generation with. Possibly the increase of interest in nutritional information by younger people arises from the breaking development of technology in the last few years. Furthermore, women have a bigger interest in the printed information due to their engagement with housekeeping and dieting of family members.
