Common alfalfa is a perennial leguminous plant and in our country it is produced in lowland areas all over Greece. This fertile plant is the most important because of its high nutritional value and serves all other feed. The varieties of alfalfa are: SERRES, RACHEL, TOSCHA, GLULIA, PALLADIANA, AUSTRALLIS, ICON, ULTIMA, MATLAB, EMILIANA, GEA, DIMITRA, VENUS, PROSEMENTI, AGNM92, AGNM85, LARISA AGNM80, AGNM75, CHLOAGPVM70 PAMPOSA AGNM85, MIVERNA, ICANEAGNM70 and PADANAR20. Growing lucerne in Greece can have several difficulties, such as high irrigation requirements and increased cost capitalization. However, they are growing due to the benefits of, for example, full mechanization of cultivation and growing of crops from European Union programs. For the cultivation of lucerne it is necessary to prepare the ground by plowing. Sowing takes place across the surface of the seed drills. Phosphorus (P) plays an important role in the yield of alfalfa. The main diseases of the lucerne are: Sphinx, Throat Disease, Scrotal Downy mildew, Oodium. In addition to diseases, there are insects that affect alfalfa cultivation, alfalfa sage, lynx alfalfa. The plant must be harvested when the plant is at the beginning of flowering when 45-55% of the plants are blooming and the harvest of the hay with machines. Silage, chrysanthemum and cotton bud are intended to preserve the product as well as to improve nutritional value as a feed. In seed crops, crops should be sampled based on weather conditions in order to have crop yields. The last step is to store the hay in warehouses. The experiment was launched in February with the aim of fecundation of faeces in northern and southern Greece. In May, the first cut in the potting and the dry piece began. The cuts continued until the end of August with different results of the pile. From the observations we made, we concluded that the cultivation of alfalfa depends mainly on watering, soil and climate.
