H νέα τεχνολογία στην εξυπηρέτηση του αεροπορικού ταξιδιού: Μελέτη περίπτωσης:Apps (Bachelor thesis)

The tourism industry -like the technology- in recent years has developed rapidly. However, nobody was expected particularly affecting the development of the technology. But the opposite happened. The tourism industry, unlike others which seem to have been driven to their limits, presents a spectacular development. As expected, an industry of this size, the technology works as a means of improving the efficiency and the services offered.
Easier access to the Internet, the simplest use of mobile phones, and all web applications that made their appearance, achieved an enormous development of tourism. Today tourists waiting to get access to tourism information anytime, anywhere, by any means. The "mobsile" tourism guides provide users such ubiquitous access.
Currently, there is a proliferation of "mobile" tourism applications, proposing an uncontrolled number of different functions. This thesis presents these applications, identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Most questions answered with the use of questionnaire, which helped immensely the research.
Finally, it is clear from the above, that the tourism industry is one of the few industries where the growing demand for services seems certain. If it can provide quality services to satisfy this demand and it can do so effectively with the use of technology, it remains a crucial question for the moment.

| Abstract: | Η βιομηχανία του τουρισμού -όπως και η τεχνολογία- τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει αναπτυχθεί ταχύτατα. Κανείς δεν περίμενε όμως, να επηρεαστεί ιδιαίτερα η ανάπτυξή της από την τεχνολογία. Όμως συνέβη το αντίθετο. Η βιομηχανία του τουρισμού, αντίθετα από άλλες, που φαίνεται να έχουν οδηγηθεί στα όρια τους, παρουσιάζει µια εντυπωσιακή ανάπτυξη. Όπως είναι αναμενόμενο, σε µια βιομηχανία αυτού του μεγέθους, η τεχνολογία λειτουργεί σαν µέσο βελτίωσης της αποδοτικότητας αλλά και των υπηρεσιών που προσφέρονται.
Η ευκολότερη πρόσβαση στο διαδίκτυο, η απλούστερη χρήση των κινητών τηλέφωνων, καθώς και όλες οι διαδικτυακές εφαρμογές που έκαναν την εμφάνισή τους, πέτυχαν μια τεράστια ανάπτυξη του τουρισμού. Οι σημερινοί τουρίστες περιμένουν να πάρουν εξατομικευμένη πρόσβαση στις πληροφορίες του τουρισμού ανά πάσα στιγμή, από οπουδήποτε και με οποιοδήποτε μέσο. Οι «κινητοί» οδηγοί τουρισμού παρέχουν στους χρήστες μια τέτοια πανταχού πρόσβαση.
Επί του παρόντος, υπάρχει ένας πολλαπλασιασμός των «κινητών» εφαρμογών τουρισμού, προτείνοντας ένα ανεξέλεγκτο αριθμό διαφορετικών λειτουργιών. Αυτή η εργασία παρουσιάζει τις εφαρμογές αυτές, εντοπίζοντας τα πλεονεκτήματα τους και τις αδυναμίες τους. Τα περισσότερα ερωτήματα απαντώνται με την χρήση ερωτηματολογίου, το οποίο βοήθησε πάρα πολύ την έρευνα.
Τέλος, είναι σαφές από τα παραπάνω ότι η τουριστική βιομηχανία είναι µια από τις λίγες βιομηχανίες όπου η αυξανόμενη ζήτηση των υπηρεσιών της φαίνεται σίγουρη. Εάν μπορεί να προσφέρει υπηρεσίες ποιότητας, προκειμένου να ικανοποιήσει αυτήν την ζήτηση και εάν μπορεί να το κάνει αποτελεσματικότερα µε την χρήση της τεχνολογίας, αυτό παραμένει ένα κρίσιμο ερώτημα προς το παρόν.
