Σκλήρυνση κατά πλάκας- Γνώσεις και στάσεις των φοιτητών νοσηλευτικής (Bachelor thesis)

-Introduction: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS). The cause of the disease is largely unknown. We know, now, that it is an autoimmune disorder of the CNS that is probably influenced by environmental and genetic factors. Most of the time the end result is a progressive loss of functionality.
-Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of this research is to investigate the knowledge of nursing students regarding the disease itself, its treatment, how to rehabilitate the patient, as well as how the patient’s life is affected.
-Materials and Methods: A questionnaire derived from a research article, consisting of twenty-seven (27) questions, was used to conduct the research. This questionnaire was translated into Greek and was transferred into the «Google Forms» electronic questionnaire platform. The data were then transferred into Excel 2016 and IBM SPSS Statistics 25, so that they could be analyzed, which would allow correlation to be measured.
-Results: According to the data analysis nursing students possess an adequate level of knowledge regarding Multiple Sclerosis, as well as a positive attitude towards the disease. Nevertheless, there is always room for improvement.

| Abstract: | -Εισαγωγή: Η σκλήρυνση κατά πλάκας (ΣκΠ) ή αλλιώς πολλαπλή σκλήρυνση είναι μια χρόνια φλεγμονώδης νόσος του κεντρικού νευρικού συστήματος (ΚΝΣ). Η αιτία της ασθένειας είναι σε μεγάλο βαθμό άγνωστη. Όμως, πλέον, γνωρίζουμε πως είναι αυτοάνοση ανωμαλία του ΚΝΣ που πιθανώς επηρεάζεται από περιβαλλοντικούς και γενετικούς παράγοντες. Τις περισσότερες φορές το τελικό αποτέλεσμα είναι η προοδευτική απώλεια της λειτουργικότητας.
-Σκοπός και στόχοι: Ο σκοπός της έρευνας αυτής είναι η διερεύνηση των γνώσεων των φοιτητών της νοσηλευτικής όσον αφορά την ίδια την ασθένεια, την αντιμετώπισή της, τον τρόπο αποκατάστασης του ασθενούς, καθώς και τον τρόπο με τον οποίο επηρεάζεται η ζωή του ασθενούς.
-Υλικά και Μέθοδοι: Για την διεξαγωγή της έρευνας χρησιμοποιήθηκε ένα ερωτηματολόγιο από μια έρευνα που αποτελείται από εικοσιεπτά (27) ερωτήσεις. Το ερωτηματολόγιο αυτό μεταφράστηκε στα ελληνικά και μεταφέρθηκε στην ηλεκτρονική πλατφόρμα διεξαγωγής ερωτηματολογίων «Google Forms». Έπειτα τα αποτελέσματα επεξεργάστηκαν στο Excel 2016 καθώς και στο IBM SPSS Statistics 25, έτσι ώστε να μπορέσουν να ερμηνευθούν και να βρεθούν οι κατάλληλες συσχετίσεις.
-Αποτελέσματα: Σύμφωνα με την επεξεργασία των δεδομένων παρουσιάστηκε ότι οι φοιτητές νοσηλευτικής διαθέτουν επαρκείς γνώσεις αναφορικά με την Σκλήρυνση κατά Πλάκας, καθώς και θετική στάση απέναντι στη νόσο.
